PECO has awarded Tullytown Borough $10,000.
The money was provided to the borough as part of the utility company’s municipal open space and environmental grant program, which is called Green Region.

“As the region’s leading energy provider, we are proud to support these environmental projects and initiatives as part of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve,” Craig Adams, PECO president and CEO, said. “I commend our local municipalities and nonprofits for developing projects that are both innovative and will have a positive impact on our landscape.”
PECO works with the Natural Lands Trust to pick the communities that will receive grant funds. So far, PECO has awarded $160,000 this year and more than $1.5 million since the program started in 2004.
