
The Bucks County Commissioners recently accepted several grants that will help fund a five-county anti-terrorism task force.
A $14.8 million Urban Areas Security Initiative grant agreement for the Pennsylvania Southeast Region Counter Terrorism Task Force, which will be utilized by Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, was approved. A $960,605 Homeland Security Grant Program grant was also accepted. A one-year, $150,082 reimbursement grant from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) will be used to pay salaries and benefits for Bucks County employees working with the anti-terrorism task force.

In addition, the commissioners accepted a $87,264 grant from PennDOT that will help police come up with a comprehensive plan for DUI enforcement.
Also at the the Commissioners meeting, officials congratulated new Director of Emergency Communications Audrey Kenny for her work.
