Hi, my name is Duke and I am a 9 year old neutered male Beagle/Basset mix. I have the nose for adventure and I’m hoping that soon my nose will take me right into my own home! I may be a little distracted when first meeting, you would be too if you could smell all the wonderful scents that I can. Once I’ve sniffed my full, I’ll turn my attention to you for lots of petting (and maybe a couple of treats). I would do best in a home with kids 10-12 years or older. So here’s the deal: I’m living in the Cat Room because I had some “issues” with the other pets in my family. Hey, I’m not blaming anyone! Once you meet me you’ll see how nice I am (and realize it was probably the other guy’s fault). The thing is that I need to be an only pet – especially no doggies, please. Now that you know the score, let’s move on to my assets: an amazingly soft buff-colored coat (I’m talking like silk here!), big round eyes, and an adorable pink nose. I’ve been neutered and have tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. I’m still adjusting to my new space so please go slowly with me…a few cat treats will definitely help me to warm up.
