When Tiffany Fusco’s son Franky was suffering from a rare and eventually fatal form of cancer, the community stepped forward. Now, she says, it’s her turn to do the same.
After Franky passed away at the age of 5 in 2014, Fusco knew it was her turn to give back to other families dealing with sick children, something that can be overwhelming without help.

Fusco has started nonprofit Team Franky Foundation, which will help other families across the world, and is planning its first large fundraiser. The event, Ride For Franky, will take place this Saturday with a “poker run” motorcycle ride followed by festivities at Tullytown Community Park behind the Borough Hall on Main Street.
The motorcycle ride will start at 9:00 a.m. and the festivities at the park will commence at 11:30 a.m. Live music, a DJ, food, games, moon bounces, costumed characters, raffles and a 50/50 drawing are among the events planned, Fusco, a resident of Bristol Township’s Levittown section, said.
“I saw what people did for Franky, for me, and I want to help,” she said.

Moving forward, Fusco hopes the Team Franky nonprofit can grow and help other families with children going through terminal cancer. From sending families on vacations to help parents and siblings pay for hotel stays, Fusco hopes the nonprofit named in honor of Frank can help out.
Fusco said she will never forget the support from the Lower Bucks County community, and supporters around the globe, as Franky battled Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Medical experts said there is no known cure for the brain stem cancer that affects children.
