Bristol Township-based Inspire Federal Credit Union is planning to expand.

The credit union with headquarters on Bath Road announced this week that they plan to open a second location at 1555 East Lincoln Highway, which is at its intersection with Highland Park Avenue, in Middletown.

The 3,000-square-foot branch will be “uniquely” designed to meet the needs of the growing customer base. Their Bristol Township location was recently redesigned to be more open and more comfortable for customers.

“This new branch will be built from the ground up, tentatively scheduled to start construction in the fall and has been strategically placed in an ideal location for our existing and prospective members. It will immediately make Inspire Federal Credit Union much more accessible to a broad range of communities,” Inspire FCU CEO and President Jim Merrill said.

The new facility has yet to get final go-ahead from Middletown officials, but credit union officials say they are confident the plans will be approved.

“I am confident, that compared to the traditional branch, the new Inspire facility will provide a better banking experience and make access to employees and all of our banking products more efficient,” Merill said in a blog post.

Starbucks is currently working to get approval for a new retail location in the same area as the Inspire FCU.
