โ€œI am honored to accept this appointment,โ€ Commissioner Marseglia said. โ€œThe Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board is an important way to develop and strengthen the workforce so that it meets the needs of business and industry.โ€

In Bucks County, the Bucks County Workforce Investment Board (BC-WIB) is one of 22 boards throughout the Commonwealth that came out of the 1998 Workforce Investment Act. It oversees the development of partnerships with employers, economic development and educational agencies and other programs to leverage all local resources available to the benefit of the local workforce.

โ€œMany years ago Bucks County was a hub of manufacturing; while some of that still exists, todayโ€™s manufacturers and other industries require prepared and well-trained employees,โ€ Commissioner Marseglia added. โ€œGrowing our economy and improving the financial stability of Bucks families rests on a well-trained workforce.โ€
