An important issue was addressed at Monday night’s Bristol Borough Council Work Session.
According to officials who spoke Monday night, bulletproof vests are running low in the police department. As a reaction to the apparent shortage, the council authorized the department to purchase vests to make the supply adequate.

Council President Ralph DiGuisseppe II explained that he hopes a meeting with the mayor and police chief can happen soon to discuss other concerns with the police department.
“If these officers don’t have vests, please purchase vests because our police officers deserve the best of everything that we can provide for them,” DiGuisseppe said.
