Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said the smoke was called by an electrical malfunction in the spa. Equipment in the sauna malfunctioned and caused some wood to begin to burn.
The hotel was cleared for a short time as fire crews made sure there was no fire.
No injuries were reported.
