Cops: Woman Stabs Man With Screwdriver

Middletown police charged a woman with allegedly stabbingย a man.

Amy Wittman, 34, of Schuykill County, was arrested last weekend and charged with one felony count of aggravated assault, one misdemeanor count of simple assault and a summary charge for harassment. She was arraigned and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.

According to police, they responded to the 1500 block of Veterans Highway for reports of a domestic dispute. According to the victim, Wittman had stabbed his left arm with a screwdriver during an argument. Police noted in a probable cause affidavit that the man had small marks on his arm indicating he had been stabbed with a Phillips head screwdriver.

Wittman, who admitted to police she stabbed the man, awaits a preliminary hearing with District Judge Daniel Baranoski set for July 22.
