The spree of overnight attempted burglaries in Falls Township continues, police said Thursday morning.

Lt. Hank Ward said Thursday morning that officers were dispatched late Wednesday night to Post Lane for an attempted burglary. The homeowner heard a noise coming from a rear window and confronted a suspect, who fled on foot toward Pinewood Drive. The suspect is described as a white teenager with light short curly hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and khaki shorts.

In recent weeks, there have been burglaries and attempted burglaries also occurring in the North Park, Willowood and Thornridge sections of Levittown. Police have stated they think the incidents are connected.

On Tuesday, police took a juvenile suspect into custody for a Monday morning attempted burglary.

“Since the juvenile is still in custody, it now appears we have multiple suspects committing these night time residential burglaries,” Ward said. “We again warn all homeowners in the Levittown sections of Falls Twp. to please call in any suspicious persons seen at night time in the neighborhoods.”

Police also warned residents to lock their doors and windows at night.

Residents who hear someone attempting to enter their home should call 9-1-1 and not confront the subject(s), police said.
