Warren, a supporter of current Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-8), said he hopes to follow in Levittown-native Fitzpatrick’s footsteps, rather than take over his position. Fitzpatrick, who won his third term in November 2014, announced at the time he had no intentions on competing for another term.
Warren, a Middletown resident, issued a pledge to all who attended his press conference on Tuesday afternoon, aligning 10 points his campaign will be based on. Within his pledge Warren promised to “be a voice of leadership in restoring campaign financing,” noting he would not accept money from parties outside the interest of the eighth district.
“I will always serve as a congressional representative from Bucks County who happens to be a member of the Republican caucus – and not a member of the Republican caucus who happens to be from Bucks County,” Warren promised enthusiastically to the crowd.
