Tornado Watch Issued For Bucks County

A tornado watch was issued for Bucks County Monday evening.

The watch is expected to be in effect until 10 p.m., according to of a 5:45 p.m. notice issued by the National Weather Service’s Mount Holly, New Jersey office.

The watch covers Hunterdon County, New Jersey along with Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania.

Forecasters called for thunderstorms with possible hail and isolated tornadoes throughout the evening. There could be minor flooding to small streets and drainage problems.

Here’s the forecast:

  • Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2am. Low around 69. South wind 8 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. West wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Tuesday Night: Scattered thunderstorms before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. West wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
  • Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph.
