Penndel Community Day Brings Out Crowds

Once a year the surrounding neighborhoods in Penndel shut down Woodland Avenue and treated themselves to a day of BBQs, yard sales and recreational activities. Founded a few years back by Mayor Bob Winkler, Penndel Community Day has only grown in popularity since its first year.

“We’re a small little town but we’re very tight knit,” says Arlene Harms, member of the Penndel Borough Activities Committee and Council. “People get to see what the county has, and how important it is and how advanced they are. I think we have a great group of neighborhoods down here with Lower Bucks and around us with Middletown, Hulmeville, Langorne – it’s a wonderful community down here.”
