Incumbent candidates in Bristol Township performed pretty well in Tuesday’s primary election.
The school board election in November will feature a healthy mix of incumbents and newbies vying to fill five seats.

Democratic School Board Candidates: Incumbents Helen Cini, Stacy Gerlach, Amanda Geist and Constance Moore. Political newbie Shane Bowen will also be on the ballot.
Republican School Board Candidates: Shane Bowen, William Keenan, Angela Dearing, John Riotto and Kelly Larkin.
Bowen, Dearing, Riotto and Larkin have all campaigned under the “Tax Relief Team” name and are promising fiscal responsibility. Riotto told LevittownNow.com last week that each member of the team has a special skill set that will benefit residents and students.

Whoever wins the November election will have to deal with ongoing financial issues in the district, the construction of at least one of the three new schools and possibly what to do with some of the nine schools slated to close.
The township council race will feature Democrat Patrick Antonello on the ballot along with incumbents Amber Longhitano and Joseph Glasson, who are both on the popular “Pro-Team,” on the ballot for three seats.
