Police Save Life Of Man Who Overdosed At Train Station

A pair of quick-thinking police officers saved a 22-year-old man who overdosed Monday evening.

Penndel Officer Sean Perry and Middletown Officer Melissa Robinson were called to the Langhorne SEPTA Station for a check the well-being call dispatched by the Bucks County Emergency Communications Center after a caller reported a man passed out in a gray Subaru.

Perry and Robinson found the man and noticed he was displaying signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, Penndel police Chief Joseph Sciscio said.

Perry was able to administered a dose of Narcan to man and aided him with his breathing. A short time later, the man began to breath,  regained consciousness and was speaking with officers, the chief said.

The man was transported to St. Mary Medical Center by the Penndel-Middletown Rescue Squad.

Paraphernalia commonly associated with heroin use was found with the man, police said.
