Middletown police searched a cargo train Friday afternoon at the request of Philadelphia police.

Authorities in the city responded to 68th and Kingsessing streets after a witness said a couple kissed what may have been a baby and tossed it off a railroad bridge. According to 6abc, “there is grainy video to support the witness account, but it doesn’t clearly show a child.”

A CSX train that was traveling from Philadelphia was stopped in the area of the Woodbourne station and searched by four officers and CSX workers, Middletown Chief Joe Bartorilla said.

No baby was found and 6abc reported the search was ongoing.

“The train was stopped and we checked the top. I believe a state trooper was also looking from an overpass, too,” Bartorilla told LevittownNow.com.
