The Tullytown Fire Company and Ariana’s Pizza teamed up over the weekend to raise money for the fire company.
Between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday, 15 percent of all sales go to the general funds for the fire company, which would help pay general expenses, according to Captain Jon Nees. Nees is also the co-chairman of the fundraising committee for the fire company.

According to Nees, the pizzeria was pretty steadily busy through the day.

“Anything we we make, we will be happy to make,” Nees explained.
Ariana’s and the Tullytown Fire Company have been closely tied together. Many firefighters eat at Ariana’s regularly and the eatery regularly gives help to the fire company for things like their regular fire prevention nights that happen in October.

“We’re helping them and they’re helping us,” Nees said.

The owner of Ariana’s said that if there is interest from the fire company, this is a fundraiser which could return in the future.

“We help each other, we’ve been involved for many years,” he explained.
“Us, as a fire company, are very grateful for Ariana’s to be doing this for us,” Nees said.
