Although he didn’t win, Pennsbury High School teacher Matthew Groden was still a finalist in the Inspire Federal Credit Union 2015 Bucks County Teacher of the Year contest.
Groden and Central Bucks High School East teacher Amanda Dicks were runners up in the third annual contest, which was won by Stephani Thomas, an art teacher at Pine Run Elementary School in New Britain.

“Her teaching is known to transcend art, as it builds friendships, communities, and inspires students to achieve more than they ever thought they could,” IFCU CEO/President Jim Merrill said of Thomas’ work.
Thomas was awarded $1,000 for herself and an additional $1,000 for her school. Groden and Dicks both walked away with $250 VISA gift cards.
In 2013, Harry S. Truman High School teacher Thomas Delaney was named Bucks County Teacher of the Year.
