If you believe the roughly two dozen women state police say Carl James Gaither harassed, he has a serious foot fetish.
Pennsylvania State Police charged the 35-year-old Bristol Township man with 27 counts of stalking, 26 counts of harassment and related offenses. Gaither was arraigned late Friday afternoon before District Judge Joanne Kline and sent to county lockup on 10 percent of $75,000 bail.

Gaither, according to court papers filed by troopers, called corrections facilities across the state and a Bristol Township auto body shop, making “lewd” and “unwanted” sexually explicit comments.
A state police investigation revealed Gaither served time in many of the state facilitates he called and knew female employees from his time locked up.
According to court papers, Gaither would talk about performing sexual acts in calls and spoke of his foot and toe fetish. He also reportedly told several women he wanted to ejaculate on their feet.

Troopers launched their investigation into the sexually explicit phone calls in November. As the process moved forward, investigators obtained warrants for a wiretap and phone records, according to court papers.
Between February 2 and March 11, Gaither allegedly made thousands of calls, including more than 500 to state prisons and 278 to the Bucks County Department of Corrections.

One of Gaither’s ex-girlfriends told state police he harassed her following their breakup, which happened while he was incarcerated. She told investigators the 35 year old harassed her via phone calls, text messages, emails and letters. In one case, Gaither sent her 29 text messages in one minute. Some of Gaither’s messages included “veiled threats,” state police said.
A Bucks County corrections officer told troopers Gaither was making sexual comments in one phone call while grunting and moaning, court papers say.
“I want to suck your toes. You have beautiful toes,” he allegedly said while on the phone with a nurse at the Bucks County Correctional Facility in Doylestown.

Some women received 30 or more phone calls from Gaither in recent months, state police said.
A female worker at a Bristol Township auto body shop at first thought a co-worker was joking with her when she received an alleged sexual phone call about her feet, court papers say.

“These repeated phone calls caused the multiple victims to endure significant emotional distress,” the arresting troopers wrote in court papers. They added that several of the victims were in fear for their safety.
Gaither is expected to have a preliminary hearing on April 21.
