A storage unit caught fire in Bristol Borough on Friday.
The fire happened at a property at Beaver and Mansion streets around 12:30 p.m.

The first engine at the scene found a fire outside a “storage pod,” according to Bristol Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack. The blaze was quickly extinguished without any injuries.
“[The] fire started when ashes from a fire pit which had been used the previous night were discarded into an area covered with leaves,” Slack said.
The flames did cause minor damage to a wood storage shed and to the exterior of the storage unit.

Crews from Bristol Borough, Bristol Township and Falls responded to the site of the fire along with police and public works.
