A 38-year-old Yardley man is in trouble with police.
Christopher Kirwan was charged with several counts of open lewdness, disorderly conduct and smell or inhale fumes from a noxious substance. He was arraigned Wednesday morning and sent to prison on 10 percent of $50,000 bail.

The investigation into Kirwan began on January 14 after a Falls Township road crew preparing to work on North Park Drive, near Penn V alley Elementary School, spotted a black Mercades Benz parked facing the school, with the side window facing the playground. The road crew approached the car and noted the driver appeared to not want to be seen and was “trying to disappear in his clothes,” according to court papers.
The township workers left the area after an equipment issue halted them.
After returning from lunch, they spotted the same Mercedes parked illegally on the New Park Way, facing Manor Elementary School, court papers say.

The two workers obtained a plate number, tried to call police but did not make contact with officers. They drove away and spotted an officer a short bit away and alerted them of the strange activity, court papers say.
Officers found the vehicle near the school and initiated a traffic stop. When speaking with Kirwan, an officer noted the 38 year old was very nervous and was sweating, police said.

Kirwan reportedly said he was lost. He then stated he was ill and heading home, police said.
When an officer asked him if he was masturbating in his car, he responded with: “Yes, but I wasn’t on school property.”
Police wrote in court documents that Kirwan admitted to masturbating in the area of an elementary school on January 14 when being questioned. The 38 year old said he huffed compressed air from a can of computer duster, looked up pornography and masturbated in his car in multiple locations.

A Falls Township police clerk advised officers she saw a vehicle like the one Kirwan was driving the same day he was pulled over in on Pinewood Drive, facing kids at a bus stop, with a man “fidgeting” in his car, according to court papers.
Kirwan told police the car belongs to his family and he borrowed it from his mother and father. He reportedly told his parents he was going to use the car to look for a job and go to the gym. Police said the 30 year old did advise them he was looking at age-appropriate pornography and it was only a coincidence he was spotted in the area where children were on three occasions.

On January 14, Pennsbury officials alerted parents a man was taken into custody in the area of the school, several parents told LevittownNow.com.
Kirwan has previously had contacts with Levittown-area police, according to court records.
