
Middletown Township police have arrested one man in connection with possible marijuana sales in the area.
After conducting a traffic stop in the area of Avenue D and Highland Avenue on Sunday, for a blue vehicle with “heavy black tint on all side windows,” Middletown Township police arrested 19-year-old Rocco Miele of Langhorne.

After police noticedย a strong smell of marijuana coming from Miele’s vehicle, they conducted a search of the vehicle. Whileย Miele claimed he only had a grinder, police noted in court documents they uncovered one clear amber pill bottle, one silver metal grinder, both containing suspected marijuana, and a large amount of United States currency. From within a black book bag on the vehicle’s back seat, police uncovered one clear glass mason jar, one silver digital scale, four clear plastic zip lock bags and one plastic cup all containing suspected marijuana residue. A box of 300 zip lock baggies were alsoย found, court documents show.
“I bet you think I’m a bad guy, I’m just a little fish,” he said unsolicited while en route to police headquarters, according to the probable cause affidavit. “I just take care of my friends it’s not like I’m a big time guy. I just do it on a small scale. I’m not hurtingย anybody.”
Miele was charged with one felony count of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, six misdemeanor counts of use or possession of drug paraphernalia, six counts of manufacturing a controlled substance, and one count of improper sunscreening. He was arraigned by Judge Daniel Finello Jrย where he was released on $50,000 unsecured bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing with Judge Daniel Baranoski on February 18.
