A Bristol Township man is under arrest after Bucks County Rangers say he met withย a Levittown woman at Silver Lakeย to exchange Oxycodone for a ride to Walmart.
On Thursday shortly after 2:30 p.m., while patrolling Silver Lake Park in Bristol Borough, Bucks County Rangers stumbled upon a car in the parking lot, which they say had two suspicious people inside. As rangers spoke to the female driver of the vehicle, identified as Helene Beretski, 52, they noted the male passenger “make fugitive movements” towards the vehicle’s center compartment, as noted in the probable cause affidavit.

When rangers spoke to the man, they immediately noticed a rancid smell consistent of burnt crack cocaine, and several pieces of copper wool scattered along the passenger floor, according to rangers. Law enforcement officials say the smell and copper wool is consistent with crack cocaine paraphernalia.
Once out of the vehicle, according to court documents, the male passenger, identified as 50-year-old Robert Crenshaw, noted he did not possess any illegal drugs but just two prescription pill bottles. Rangers uncovered one for Oxycodone, filled the day before, but only containing 15 of the original 150 pill amount; and another for Alprazolam, also filled the day before, but containing none of the original 30 pills in the bottle.
Beretski gave rangers permission to search her, her handbag and her vehicle, noting she did not possess any illegal drugs or paraphernalia. However, rangers uncovered a large amount of copper wool in the vehicle’s center cup holder, two glass stem smoke pipes with drug residueย in the main compartment of her handbag and a small glassine baggie containing an unknown white powdery substance in her purse’s side compartment, rangers noted in court records.

According to Crenshaw, he was walking down Green Lane when he was approached by Beretski. He told Beretski he was attempting to “kill time” prior to picking up his estranged wife from the local Walmart. According to the man, Beretski offered to drive him to the Walmart and provide transportation in exchange for one 10 mg. Oxycodone pill, which she said she needed for her ailing nephew who was going through heroin withdrawal. According to Crenshaw, the exchange never happened, as rangers arrived to the park shortly after.
Crenshaw and Beretskiย were charged withย two misdemeanors including possession of a controlled substance, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.ย Crenshaw was also charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. He sits in the Bucks County Correctional Facility tonight on 10 percent of $50,000 bail, while Beretski is free on $15,000 unsecured.
