A fire that happened Saturday afternoon in Falls Township is being considered an arson.
Crews were dispatched to the vacant Acme in the 500 block of West Trenton Avenue around 3 p.m.

A old couch was dumped by the loading dock of the store and set ablaze, Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.
The smoky blaze was quickly put out by volunteer firefighters and kept to the exterior of the building.
The fire marshal said it could not be sure if Saturday’s fire was related to several similar blazes behind shopping centers that have happened in the past two years.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious at the store Saturday afternoon is asked to call Dippolito at 215-949-9000, ext. 250.
