Snow Emergency Declaration In Falls Twp. Ends

The snow emergency declared Monday in Falls Township is ending early.

Officials announced Tuesday that the declaration had ended due to the “projected snow storm not amounting to what we anticipated.” The snow emergency was set to expire at 6 p.m. Wednesday, but it will now end at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

“Thank you to all that moved their vehicles to make our jobs easier,” Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator Rich Dippolito noted in a social media post.

Falls declared a snow emergency Monday in advance of what was predicted to be more than a foot of snow. By Tuesday morning, it was clear that forecast was wrong.
