
Investigators are still awaiting positive identification on a man who was struck by an Amtrak train in Bristol Township last week.
Police said they suspect the victim is a 65-year-old Bensalem man who intentionally stepped in front of an Amtrak train near the Croydon Train station on the morning of Friday, January 15.

Acting Chief of Police Sgt. Ralph Johnson said fingerprints were inconclusive and DNA testing has been sent out. The results of the test could take some time, he said.
Amtrak officials said Acela Express train 2151 had 287 people on board and was traveling from Boston to Washington D.C. when the man was hit.
First responders said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident caused delays on both SEPTA and Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor.
