
Bucks County officials have issued a “Code Blue” declaration.

County emergency management and health department officials said the Code Blue started Saturday at 6 p.m. and will go until 7 a.m. Monday, February 2.
The declaration was made after forecasts showed a prolonged period cold weather.

The on-call shelters are coordinating transportation, temporary shelter, food and other necessities.
“County Emergency Management Director Scott Forster and Health Director Dr. David Damsker have notified local public safety officials of the Code Blue declaration. They advise all residents to be aware of the severe anticipated weather conditions. Please exercise caution if you need to be outside, and stay indoors as much as possible,” the release says.
The community is asked to check in on older adults during the period of dangerous weather and that precautionary measures should be taken with pets too.
