A winter storm is expected to bring rain, sleet and snow to the region late Friday night into Saturday.

The National Weather Service’s snowfall prediction forecast for Lower Bucks County showed the area getting 2 to 3 inches from the storm. The snow is expected to change to sleet and then rain on Saturday before ending.

“Icing due to freezing rain is expected … Maximum icing amounts are around 0.15 inch, and will occur after snow has fallen,” forecasterย Gary Szatkowski said in a briefing.

The precipitation is expected to begin around 10 p.m. Friday.

Another winter storm is expected to move through the area late Sunday into Monday morning. Exact snowfall forecasts have not been released and Szatkowski warned the storm’s timing may impact the Monday morning commute.
