Ollie the Dachshund is home safe after being on the run for two weeks.

The missing dog was scooped up Sunday evening by his owners in the area of Bensalem Boulevard.

The dog went missing during a bizarre whirlwind of incidents that surrounded a Parx Casino jockey at Franklin Commons Apartments on the night of December 28.

Ollie was said to be very shy and disappeared after he was spotted several times during the past two weeks. Despite being outside, Ollie braved the sub-freezing weather and lives on to see another day.

“He has a pretty good size wound, probably from going through the glass, and it’s started to heal wrong,” Ollie’s owners wrote on Facebook. The Dachshund will undergo surgery this week.

Ollie had been sighted in in Bensalem and Bristol Township since he escaped from his owners on December 28. Recently, Clear Channel donated several billboards along I-95 that featured the dog’s image.

A fundraising page has been set up to help pay for Ollie’s surgery. Click here to donate.
