An adorable dachshund has been missing from Bensalem since before the new year, it’s owners have now become desperate to find him.

The dog went missing during a bizarre whirlwind of incidents that surrounded a Parx Casino jockey at Franklin Commons Apartments on the night of December 28.

According to Bensalem Township Police, they responded to Bobolink Dr. for reports that 21-year-old Angel Suarez Medero was seen masturbating on the deck of a second floor apartment. After the female resident of the apartment called 911, Suarez Medero reportedly jumped out of the second floor bedroom window and gained entry into another nearby apartment that was occupied. Suarez Medero reportedly assaulted two of the occupants of the apartment before being shot twice by a resident. The resident who shot Suarez Medero is according to police, cooperating. His firearm was legally owned and registered.

According to a recent Facebook page created for Ollie the missing dachshund, the dog was seen defending his home against Suarez Medero before going missing. According to a recent flyer, Ollie was last seen on January 4 in Croydon.

Ollie’s owners warn the dog is very shy and ask those who may spot him to not chase him. Although Ollie normally sports a reddish brown coat, his coat is expected to have changed to a darker color since he’s been outside for more than a week. Anyone with information on Ollie’s whereabouts are asked to call 610-400-3132.

As far as the accused, Suarez Medero was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital for treatment on December 28 and listed in critical condition. He was charged on December 29 with burglary, assault and related offenses. He was arraigned and his bail was set at 10% of $250,000. Suarez Medero will be sent to Bucks County Prison once he is medically cleared for incarceration.

According to an article on Philly.com, Suarez Medero remains in critical condition and is in an induced coma after undergoing surgery. He may face further operations to repair injuries to his liver and pancreas.

Suarez Medero’s former agent Tommy Pointer and current agentย Dave Yannuzzi, told Philly.com they speculate that he used “some substance like bath salts or PCP, notorious for turning users into rampaging maniacs.”
