Residents in New Jersey are planning to fight a hazardous waste treatment center proposed for Falls Township.
Elcon Recycling Services, the Israeli company behind the facility, has presented their plans before Falls Township officials and the public twice in the past year. The facility is planned for the Keystone Industrial Port Complex and not too far from the Delaware River.

The New Jersey municipalities of Florence, Bordentown city and township and the Delaware Riverkeepers have voiced their opposition to the application. They are concerned about “potential pollution from waste water, storm water discharge and air emissions,” the Cherry Hill Courier Post reports.
Public comment on the project has been extended and another public meeting is planned.
