The Uptown String Band, made up of performers from across Lower Bucks County, formed in 1938 and has been a favorite in the traditional parade.

Newtown resident Ryan Radcliffe lead the band through Center City Thursday. The 43 year old has been marching with the string band since he was 11.

โ€œItโ€™s fun. Itโ€™s a great hobby. We have a ball. Itโ€™s like a second family,โ€ longtime band member John Carroll told LevittownNow.com at a rehearsal Tuesday night.
