Help Nominate Bucks County’s Teacher Of The Year

Inspire Federal Credit Union and Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22 are joining together for the third year in a row to honor an outstanding local teacher.

The Bucks County Teacher of the Year Award is given to one Bucks County teacher who “shows a superior commitment to teaching, [has] a great impact on students, the school and the community, and goes above and beyond the normal duties of being a teacher.”

All are encouraged to nominate a teacher who fits the bill. The winning teacher and the winning teacher’s school will earn $1,000 in prize money.

According to the award’s website, all teachers must be a current employee of a Bucks County school, a PA certified teacher or a teacher who has obtained a private academic school certification in a Bucks County public school or non-public school, teaching grades K-12, to be eligible. Teachers must also have direct contact with students in a classroom setting. Classroom teachers, subject teachers, certified teaching professionals or classroom instructors are welcome.

Those who wish to narrate a teacher are asked to fill out a short form onlineย in addition to submitting a letter of reference and a nomination narrative, detailing in 700 words or less why the nominee deserves to be acclaimed as Bucks County Teacher of the Year.

All nominations submitted will be posted here and be eligible for public voting until February 6. The top three nominees will move on to the final round where they will be judged by a committee of Inspire Federal Credit Union board members, management and employees in addition to aย BCIU employee.ย  The winner will be announced at the Inspire Federal Credit Union annual meeting.
