A woman was arrested Tuesday after she stabbed her husband in Bristol Township, police said.

The man was seriously injured after he was stabbed at the Levittown Trace Apartments on Ford Road shortly before midnight Monday.

His wife – Tina Marie Rice, 26, of Bristol Township – was charged with aggravated and simple assault and terroristic threats.
Police said Rice’s husband suffered a “deep stab wound to the stomach.” Court papers note a doctor at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown told investigators the injury was serious.
Rice and her husband got in an argument late Monday night. The man said he was sleeping on the couch when Rice punched him in the face. He went to the bathroom after as Rice threw items from around the house at him, according to court papers.

Rice began causing another commotion at the bathroom before yelling she was going to kill him, police said. Court papers outline that Rice stabbed her husband around that time.
Rice’s husband left the apartment and traveled to his mother’s home in Middletown, where that township’s police were dispatched, court papers say.

Rice told investigators that she tripped and cut her face on glass, court papers say. She reportedly signed a statement that her husband did not injure her.
Police said the victim was very upset following the stabbing.
Rice was arraigned before District Judge Charles Baum and sent to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $75,000 bail.
