Recently, the Bucks County Commissioners voted to give themselves a 6.66 percent raise  starting in January 2016 and lasting until 2019. There is one catch – commissioners Robert Loughery, Charlie Martin and Diane Marseglia are all up for re-election next year and they would have to be re-elected to get the pay raise.

County spokesman Chris Edwards said the commissioners’ current salary is $89,072.72.

The commissioners also approved raises for four row offices – the coroner, clerk of courts, treasurer and register of wills. The raise for those row officers will receive a 4.56 percent salary increase in 2016.

Salaries for other row offices will be determined two years from now by the commissioners.

The benefit packages for the commissioners and row officers are the same as those received by nonunion county employees.
