A child was struck by a vehicle on Lakeland Ave in Bristol Township around 4 p.m Monday afternoon and is reportedly in serious condition.
The accident occurred on Lakeland Avenue near Foster Avenue.

Police said the victim, an elementary-aged boy, was hit by a pickup truck after stepping out of a shop.
At the scene of the crash, the child’s belongings, including shoes, were in the roadway.
Police said the driver of the pickup truck was cooperating with their investigation.

Fire police directed traffic as Lakland Avenue from Bath Road and Foster Avenue was closed.
Police officials said there is still the potential for the child to be transferred to another medical facility for additional treatment.
