Visit Bucks County (VBC), the official tourism promotion agency of Bucks County is pleased to announce the Fall 2014 Tourism Grant program recipients. The Visit Bucks County Tourism Grant was instituted six years ago to assist in the development and enhancement of not-for-profit tourism product in Bucks County. The VBC Tourism Grant is supported from a portion earned from the Bucks County lodging tax.

This round, Visit Bucks County distributed $202,000 to 23 Bucks County not-for-profits.
Grant funding will be used for website redesigns and enhancements, marketing collateral, capital improvements, tourism product development and more. Past successful uses of grant funding include the addition of new exhibits at the Bucks County Children’s Museum, marketing and advertising efforts for exhibits at the James A. Michener Art Museum, the creation of a the Heritage Conservancy’s Barn Voyage! Self-Guided Barn Tour and support to bring the largest collegiate fencing tournament in the world to Bensalem in spring 2015.
In total, Visit Bucks County has distributed $2.3 million in tourism funds since 2008. Eligible recipients are limited to non-profits or other entities located in Bucks County and are marketing partners of the tourism office.
