Falls Approves Budget, Harvie Calls EIT A “Dead Issue”

Falls Township has approved their 2015 budget.

Falls made their proposed budget public shortly before the Thanksgiving holiday, providing a hard copy of the budget at the Fallsington Library and a digital copy, here, on the township website.

According to board Chairman Bob Harvie, the unanimously passed budget did not include any tax increases or an EIT tax.

Residents spoke of interests in an EIT to the board numerous times this year, however Harvie noted that considering an EIT was now a “dead issue”.

Harvie noted with the road program complete, the budget was reflective of a township that isย “preparing for a new building”.ย  Read more.

The overall budget totaled $49,999,860.
