A man watching television foiled an attempted burglary in Levittown.

According to Falls Township police, the friend of the family that lives in a home on Buttonwood Lane was sitting in the back living room watching television when he saw the curtain move and observed hands come through around 6 p.m. Saturday evening. The man immediately grabbed the strange set of arms in an attempt to hold the suspect, a police press release said.

The suspect was able to break free, police said.
The man who was watching television ran out of the house and watched the suspect get in the passenger seat of a Nissan Xterra.
