After the meeting, D’Angelo spoke about plans for the coming year in reference to the school district. “Our biggest plan is to keep the schools operating,” he said. “We’re under a financial strain,” noted D’Angelo. D’Angelo made note of the fact that there seems to be less and less money flowing into the district from the state.

Former president of the school board, Groff commented on his tenure as the president of the board, and indicated that the action the board took that he was most pleased with is theย reinstatement of a full day kindergarten program.

“I am confident John D’Angelo will do a great job leading our district, and he has my full support. It was an honor and my pleasure serving the community, I couldn’t be prouder of what our board was able to accomplish in the last year,” Groff said.
