Fire Hits Levittown Apartment Building

Firefighters were battling a blaze at Levittown’s Foxwood Manor Apartments Wednesday evening.

The blaze at the complex that sits between Durham Road and Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Middletown was reported in building 7 shortly after 5 p.m.

An emergency official told LevittownNow.com the bulk of the fire was knocked down as of 5:55 p.m.

Early reports indicated a gas explosion may have occurred in the area around the time the fire was reported.

Crews from several companies responded to the scene.
