2 Women Suffer ‘Serious Bites’ In Dog Attack


Two women were hospitalized Wednesday after a dog attacked them inside a Bristol Township home.

The two women, both working as home health aides, were attacked by a pit bull around 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon inside a home on Gentle Road in Levittown, police said.

The dog broke free from a cage and attacked the 36-year-old and 46-year-old women. One woman suffered “serious bites” to both arms and her left knee; the other woman suffered “serious bites” to both arms, Acting Chief of Police Lt. John Godzieba said.

Animal control responded to the home and police currently have custody of the dog, Godzieba said.

One woman was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown, and the other was transported to Lower Bucks Hospital.
