The first arriving firefighters quickly made their way to the roof and put the small blaze out, Fire Marshal Jim McGuire said. He added fire was contained to roofing material.
The fire was started by a hotspot left by welders on Friday. The hotspot was covered by roofing material and smoldered for hours, McGuire said.
The building, which is undergoing renovations, suffered no serious interior damage. An air conditioner unit on the roof was damaged during fire operations, he said.

The flames were reported by multiple callers to 9-1-1, the fire marshal said.
The building is being prepared for two new tenants, Bob’s Discount Furniture and Floors and Decor.
Crews from Langhorne-Middletown, Parkland, Penndel and William Penn fire companies responded along with the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad.
