A 16-year-old Levittown boy was arrested and charged with a late Friday night armed robbery.
Police responded to the Wing Wah Restaurant in the 4500 block of New Falls Road in Bristol Township around 10:50 p.m. for reports that a male suspect wearing a bandana had entered the eatery armed with an apparent handgun and took cash.

Officers from Bristol Township, Falls and Middletown responded and began checking the area for the robber. Falls officers responded with a K-9 unit.
Police said they found discarded clothing and a BB pistol, resembling a real gun, behind the area of Sparky’s Tavern on New Falls Road.
Officers reportedly found 16-year-old Frederick Knecht in the parking lot of the Racquet Club Apartments on Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Middletown. The teen matched the description of the robbery suspect, police said.

Knecht was interviewed by investigators with his mother and confessed to the robbery, police said.
The money was recovered and no injuries were reported.

Although he is a juvenile, Knecht was charged as an adult. He was arraigned early Saturday on charges on two counts of robbery and single counts of receiving stolen property, tampering with evidence and theft. Police said he was taken to the Bucks County Juvenile Detention Center in Edison.
