A Middletown man alleged to be in possession of synthetic marijuana was reportedly found asleep inside a building owned by the Neshaminy School District.
Lower Southampton police say they found John-Paul Sabara, 25, asleep inside the Tawanka Learning Center on Brownsville Road around 3:20 a.m. Monday.

Sabara was found about 25 feet inside the school which is currently used by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit for various programs.
After first not responding to police, Sabara awoke and began growling and acting aggressive toward officers, court papers say.
Eventually, Sabara surrendered to officers.

Police found a clear glass smoking pipe and bag of synthetic marijuana along with a cellphone, children’s shoes and other items, court papers say. The bag of synthetic marijuana was reported to be labeled “Scooby Snax.”
The 25 year old said he must have fallen into the building after he fell asleep standing up, court papers say. He originally was at the school to get out of the rain and park his bicycle.

Police said an unlocked door was found at the school.
At recent Neshaminy School Board committee meetings, one or two residents who live near the school have complained about trespassers at the school. District officials have told the residents that police conduct regular patrols of the school.
Sabara was charged with criminal trespassing, defiant trespassing on school grounds and various drug offenses. He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $500,000 bail.
