The Middletown Township Board of Supervisors recently approved a new, three-year refuse and recycling contract with Waste Management Inc.
Township Manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls said the three-year contact is worth just over $12 million.

This will mean a decrease of $56 for residents in trash and recycling fees as a result of the negotiation of the new contract.
The new program will mean that yard waste will only be collected from April 1 to November 30, beginning in 2015. Nearly all other aspects of the current trash and recycling contract will remain the same, including collection days.
