A 22-year-old man accused of shooting a scarecrow with a BB gun caused quiet a scare in one Levittown neighborhood Sunday morning.

Officers from the township quickly arrived and closed off the block, neighbors said.
Police secured the area around the home and worked to make contact with the resident inside the home where the possible shooting happened, the chief said.
Officers were able to make contact with Vincent Michael Santomarco and determined that he was shooting a scarecrow with a BB gun, according to police.

“We were able to reach him by telephone, and he was cooperative,” Bartorilla told LevittownNow.com.
Police said they determined Santomarco’s actions did not cause any injury or damage.
