A free seminar on the dangers online predators and bullying will be held Wednesday night.

State Rep. Tina Davis, the Bristol Township School District, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, a victim advocacy group and Penndel Chief of Police Joseph Sciscio will be part of the free event that will begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at the Ben Franklin School on Mill Creek Road in Levittown.

โThe free seminar will provide parents and guardians crucial information on cyber safety and recognizing and thwarting bullying in all its forms,โ Davis said in a statement. โItโs designed to keep our children safe in school and in the community.โ
The speakers at the event will talk of guarding children again predictors and bullies. Sciscio,ย a member of the FBI Cybercrime Task Force and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, will lead a presentation on local perspectives about the issues and problems being confronted in the community. Network of Victim Assistance coordinator Steve Doerner will also discuss online bullying its effects on children and the community, and how parents and guardians can respond effectively.
โThe internet is now a staple of teensโ lives, and documented cases of online luring of children have been skyrocketing,โ Davis said. โParents and guardians will learn how to prevent and thwart the predators.โ
