The Bucks County Opportunity Council helped kick-off its year-long 50th anniversary celebration on October 4.

The non-profit, which works exclusively with low-income people in the area, held an event on celebrity Chef Jose Garces’ Luna Farm in Ottsville. All the proceeds from the event will help to continue the group’s mission.

“Together, we can make a powerful difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors in need in Bucks County,” said Garces.

The 50th anniversary celebration will continue throughout the duration of 2015 with various events spread out throughout the next year.
