The estimated budget for the 2014 is $4,782,000. The spending on the year up to this date is $4,690,000. There is room for $92,000 of further spending before the estimated budget is completely spent.

According to the current budget report referenced at the meeting by Borough Manager James Dillon, there will be a $29,000 deficit by the end of the year, however, this is based only on the projection numbers.

Coming close to matching the budget is the end goal, as was noted by multiple members of the Council.

“I think we did outstanding,” said Council President Ralph DiGuisseppe. “I think we will end with a surplus instead of a deficit.”

The budget was described as “very tight,” throughout the presentation, however personnel involved with the budget appeared pleased at the information provided regarding the budget.
